Sealed bids are invited for ITB # 22-1001 CTE Heating System Renovations at the Pulaski County High School CTE Center, located at 5414 Cougar Trail Rd, Dublin, VA 24084. According to drawings and specifications prepared by RRMM Architects, and LPA consulting engineers. The project is generally described as CTE Heating System Renovations.

Construction Documents, including Project Specifications and Drawings, will be available for download at www.trascoplanroom.com/jobs/public. A download fee applies. Bidders will be asked to enter your name, company name and email address to download the documents.

A (mandatory) Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday January 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM. At the Pulaski County High School CTE Center. Bids will only be accepted from bidders in attendance and registered on the sign-in sheet. The latest date for receipt of questions to be answered prior to receipt of bids will be Close Of Business on Tuesday January 18, 2022.

Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawing of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and / or to waive any informality in the bidding procedures.

Sealed bids in duplicate will be received to the attention of Mr. Jess Shull Director of Operations, Pulaski County Public Schools, 202 N. Washington Ave. Pulaski, VA 24301. Bidders shall clearly mark the outside of the packet containing the bid submission with “ITB # 22- 1001”. The deadline for submitting bids is 2pm local standard time on Tuesday January 25, 2022. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud shortly thereafter at the same location.

Davis-Bacon Act and Buy America Act: Bidders should be aware that the Davis-Bacon Act applies to this project. Applicable wage scale decision for this project is contained within the specifications as an attachment to Section 011000. Buy America Act does not apply to this project; however, awards made under the CRRSA Act and ARP Act are subject to 2 CFR § 200.322 which establishes domestic preferences for procurements under Federal grants that are subject to the Uniform Guidance.

A Bid Bond and Contract Security will be required of all bidders regardless of amount. Bidders shall be required to bind their bid for 30 days. The contract for the project shall be awarded on a lump sum basis of the Base Bid plus such Alternates as the Owner in its sole discretion decides to award. Bidder’s attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration of Contractors Pulaski County Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer.

The Project will be awarded on a lump sum basis of the Base Bid plus such Alternates as the Owner in its discretion decides to award.
