The project consists of installation/replacement of approximately 4288 LF of 10” waterline, 279 LF of 8” waterline, 7420 LF of 6” waterline, 3405 LF of 4” waterline, 2000 LF of 2” waterline, 625 LF 1” waterline, 4530 LF 3/4” waterline, 30 LF of 20” steel casing, 280 LF of 16” steel casing, 55 LF of 12” steel casing, 30 LF of 8” steel casing, 61 meter reconnections, four (4) fire hydrant assemblies, one (1) pressure sustaining valve, one (1) pressure reducing valve, nine (9) blow-off valve assemblies, 135 LF of concrete encasement, and associated waterline appurtenances.

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Pound Water System Rehab Pilkenton Peak and Highland Avenue Project will be received at the office of the Wise County Public Service Authority, until 2:00 p.m. local time on December 7th, 2023 at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The project consists of installation/replacement of approximately 4288 LF of 10” waterline, 279 LF of 8” waterline, 7420 LF of 6” waterline, 3405 LF of 4” waterline, 2000 LF of 2” waterline, 625 LF 1” waterline, 4530 LF 3/4” waterline, 30 LF of 20” steel casing, 280 LF of 16” steel casing, 55 LF of 12” steel casing, 30 LF of 8” steel casing, 61 meter reconnections, four (4) fire hydrant assemblies, one (1) pressure sustaining valve, one (1) pressure reducing valve, nine (9) blow-off valve assemblies, 135 LF of concrete encasement, and associated waterline appurtenances.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. The project is funded through the Virginia Department of Health.

Pursuant to Virginia Public Procurement Act Section 2.2-4330.B.1: The bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his bid within two business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure and shall submit original work papers with such notice.

MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President’s Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Davis-Bacon Act; and Section 436 of P. L. 113-76, American Iron and Steel. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.

Prospective bidders may examine Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Bidding Documents may also be examined and purchased through TRASCO at https://www.trascoplanroom.com.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 PM local time on November 28th, 2023 at the Wise County Public Service Authority. 5622 Industrial Park Road, Norton, Virginia 24273. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
