Rocky Mount Water Line Replacement or Rehabilitation U.S. Route 220 Business

Separate sealed Bids for the Rocky Mount Water Line Replacement or Rehabilitation U.S. Route 220 Business – North Main Street Project for the Town of Rocky Mount, which consists of the replacement or rehabilitation of approximately 1,800 linear feet of 8-inch water line and associated water line appurtenances, will be received electronically online at https://www.tlplanroom.com until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on July 10, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud virtually.  Each bidder will utilize a separate base bid schedule designated for either pipe replacement or in situ spray in place pipe (SIPP) rehabilitation.  The Contract Documents may be examined at the Town of Rocky Mount, 345 Donald Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151; at Thompson & Litton, 103 E. Main Street, Wise, VA; and online at TRASCO (http://www.trascoplanroom.com).

Copies of the Contract Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through TRASCO at http://www.trascoplanroom.com.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on June 24, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. All interested parties are requested to meet the Engineer at the Town Hall, 345 Donald Avenue, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 at that time.at that time. The last day to receive questions will be June 30, 2025.

Withdrawal of bids shall be according to procedure (i) of the Virginia Public Procurement Act and to the Code of Virginia (§ 2.2-4330).

Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.

Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding.

The Owner does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, § 2.2-4343.1.

MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit Bids. 

The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s). 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.

Instructions for Downloads & Extracting Files.

Click the download button.
The download queue shows your items selected to download.
Click Continue to enter payment information. Click Submit Payment to download the files.
Note the filename ( Download_#### ) if you need to search for it later.
Save your file. Typically it saves by default to your ( Downloads ) folder.
Open your File Explorer and browse to your ( Downloads ) Folder.
Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
