Separate sealed Bids for the Installation of High Visibility Crosswalks for the Town of Wise, Virginia, which consists of the demolition of existing concrete sidewalk, construction of seven high visibility crosswalks at various locations including ramps, pavement marking, signs, truncated domes, and associated items, will be received electronically online at https://www.tlplanroom.com until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on December 18, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud virtually.  Contact Thompson & Litton, Inc. for the link to the virtual bid opening.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the Town of Wise, 501 West Main Street, Wise, Virginia 24293; at Thompson & Litton, 103 E. Main Street, Wise, VA; and online at TRASCO (http://www.trascoplanroom.com).

Copies of the Contract Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through TRASCO at http://www.trascoplanroom.com.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on December 9, 2025 at 10:00 A.M.  All interested parties are requested to meet the Engineer at the offices of Thompson & Litton, Inc., 103 East Main Street, Wise, Virginia 24293 at that time.

Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.

Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia prior to the execution of the Agreement.  Each Bidder must be a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Pre-Qualified Contractor. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to submit Bids.

The Owner does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, § 2.2-4343.1.

The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s). 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.

Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
