Contract II: Water infrastructure improvement includes upgrades at three existing water pump stations. Contract III: Sewer infrastructure improvements include construction of a new sewage lift station to serve the new fishery, a new underground detention system, a new 6-inch force main and appurtenances to connect the new lift station to an existing influent life station which conveys sewage to the existing sewage treatment plant, and upgrades at the existing influent lift station.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on July 9, 2025 at 10:00 A.M.  All interested parties are required to meet the Engineer at Tazewell County Public Service Authority, 168 Tazewell Mall Circle, Tazewell, Virginia 24651, at that time.

Withdrawal of bids shall be according to procedure (i) of the Virginia Public Procurement Act and to the Code of Virginia (§ 2.2-4330).

Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.

Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding.

This is a federally assisted project.  Bidders and Contractors performing work under this advertisement are bound by the requirements of President’s Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 11375; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 109 of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; the Davis-Bacon Act; the Copeland “Anti-Kickback” Act; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act; and Public Law 100 202.

The Owner does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, § 2.2-4343.1.

MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit Bids. 

The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s). 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.

Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
