Public Projects

This project which consists of the following construction: Cane Branch, Ramsey/Hawver, South Miller Ridge/Arrowwood/Dotson Ridge/Dodson Ridge including Additive Alternate No. 1 Whispering Pines and Lower Dotson Ridge as Deductive Alternate No. 1. Cane Branch will consist of approximately 12,215 L.F. of six-inch waterline, 820 L.F. of two-inch waterline, 96 L.F. of six-inch DIP Ball and Socket waterline, valves, hydrants, air release valves, 17 tandem meter settings with individual pressure regulators and meters, service lines, one pressure reducing station, and all appurtenances. Ramsey/Hawver will consist of approximately 14,610 L.F. of eight-inch waterline, 390 L.F. of eight-inch Ball & Socket D.I.P., 94 L.F. of eight-inch Highway Crossing, 220 L.F. of two-inch waterline, valves, hydrants, air release valves, 23 tandem meter settings with individual pressure regulators and meters, service lines, and all appurtenances. South Miller Ridge / Arrowwood / Dotson Ridge, including Lower Dotson Ridge will consist of approximately 14,160 L.F. of eight-inch waterline, 1,117 L. F. of eight-inch Ball & Socket DIP, 850 L.F. of six-inch waterline, 760 L.F. of six-inch Ball & Socket DIP, 560 L.F. of two-inch waterline, 422 L.F. of eightinch US Route 19 Controlled Access Highway Crossing, 154 L.F. eight-inch Highway Crossing, valves, hydrants, air release valves, 25 tandem meter settings with individual pressure regulators and meters, service lines, and all appurtenances. Additive Alternate No. 1 - (Whispering Pines) will consist of approximately 5,608 L.F. of six-inch waterline, 73 L.F. of six-inch Ball & Socket DIP, 205 L.F. of two-inch waterline, valves, hydrants, air release valves, 6 tandem meter settings with individual pressure regulators and meters, service lines, and all appurtenances. Deductive Alternate No. 1 - (Lower Dotson Ridge) will consist of 8,360 L.F. two-inch waterline, valves, hydrants, air release valves, 2 tandem meter settings with individual pressure regulators and meters, service lines, and all appurtenances.

This project consists of the installation of a fire alarm system upgrade within the existing courthouse structure. The work will further involve selective demolition of the existing fire alarm system. Cutting and patching will be required where visible historic construction and features must be penetrated when no other means of concealment within existing construction is possible.

This project consists of the replacement of approximately 500 feet of gravity sewer, replacement of three (3) manholes, and all related appurtenances .

This project consists of earthwork, drainage, erosion & sediment control for the development of six new tennis courts for Abingdon High School.

The purpose of the prequalification process is to select only those contractors qualified and capable of completing the Project in conformance with the Contract Documents (i.e., plans, specifications, project addenda, etc.) Only prequalified contractors will be allowed to submit a bid.

This project consists of 2,800 linear feet of 8-inch water line, 5,600 linear feet of 6-inch water line, 5,100 linear feet of 4-inch water line, 1,000 linear feet of 2-inch water line, 60 existing service meter connections, gate valves, fire hydrants, blow off valves, air release valves, 4-inch master meter vault, and all associated appurtenances.

This project consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 380 linear feet (L.F.) of 6-inch, 3,400 L.F. of 8-inch and 85 L.F. of 12-inch sewer line with cured-in-place pipe liner; approximately 20 L.F. of 6-inch and 160 L.F. of 8-inch sewer line point repairs; the rehabilitation of 31 manholes; the replacement of 31 manhole cones and frames and covers, the rehabilitation of 2,490 L.F. of sewer laterals, and the replacement of 83 cleanout caps, reinstatement of 83 service connections and all associated appurtenances.

Construction of a new vortex grit removal system, a new lift station, a new enhanced high-rate treatment (EHRT) auxiliary treatment process, a new additional chlorine contact chamber, a new disinfection feed system, a new post aeration tank, and a new maintenance building.
